Heavens

His armor clanked softly as he fell to his knees,
as he looked at his fierce opponent in the eyes.
They both knew he was on his way to the afterlife.
He felt his blood flow from the deadly wound and fell to the ground with a soft thud,
sound now gone from him as he gazed at the blue sky


At the last moments of his life he whispered his loves name and faded,
faded to the heavens
where he would wait until the day came when they would see each other again. When they would
have forever peace
